1. This stock is from the metal industry and was formerly known as Hindustan aluminium Company and now one can accumulate this stock with in the range of Rs 45- Rs 50 as a long term investment bet. Hindalco is best known as primary producer of aluminium in Asia. Hindalco is among the list of top 5 global aluminium producers and with Novelis being acquired by it; hindalco is on the path to become the most cost effective aluminium producer.

2. Hindalco has carved a niche for itself being the largets producer of copper and aluminium in India. This company is managed by AV Birla group and has been able to produce profit despite world wide slump.

3. one can analyse the reasons for the fall in stock price of Hindalco and same are listed below:

(a) Reduction in demand for these precious metals namely aluminum and copper.
(b) Novelis acquisition debt is causing strain on its finances.
(c) Global recession has led to wide spread reduction in demand.

4. As a disclosure, I hold the said stocks as a long term investment.
