1. Do Not DIsturb is a great tool to handle unwanted messages and calls and for that a very clean and effective system is in place for stopping the unsolicited calls received from these mobile companies which is very irritating as at times one is sleeping and one gets a promotional call.
(a)Tata Indicom, Airtel & Vodafone Mobile customers can sms by typing START DND to 1909 (toll free) to stop these unsolicited calls.
(b) Spice Karnataka customers can send Sms- START DND to 1909 or call 9844098440 and place a request for do not disturb.
(c) Alternatively one can visit the website of the company and can register or in case any query call its customer care like Airtel jhas it at 121 number. Remeber do not unnecessarily call the customer care else they can even block this facility for a particular number and one will get a message send SMS to customer care.

2. As soon as message is received by the concerned operator one will get a message in inbox of mobile stating that "We respect your privacy. Please allow us 15 days to update our do not call service records. Your reference number is XXXXX date yyyy at zzzz.
