2. Tata is making a venture in this field through Tata Realty and Infrastructure (TRIL) and Tata Housing Development Company and an investment of Rs 200 bn has been earmarked for this purpose and same will be utilised in the infrastructure space in the next 3 years.
3. Locations which have been approved post survey are Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Amritsar and a few other are also in offing. In phase 1 it is being assumed that 8 cities will be covered in this project. Moreover the entity is also exploring the means to enter metro railways, roads and highways.
4. Tata group will benefit now as commodity prices are low coupled with easy availability of sub-contractors and reviving demand. They are open to accepting any kind of projects and are not showing any allergy to govt projects.
