Coal India's IPO has opened for subscription today and the government has fixed a price band at Rs 225-245 a share, reports CNBC TV18. Through this IPO the company aims to raise more than Rs 15,000 crore, which is the largest amount IPO in Indian history, it adds. The issue will close on October 21. Coal India IPO is very important for disinvestment programme. It was also a day when the market made history of sorts with the opening of the largest amount IPO in Indian history, Coal India, and the introduction of the pre-market session from 9-9.15am.
