HCC, founded in 1926, has constructed nearly 2,300 kilometres of roads in India, including high profile projects like the Mumbai-Pune expressway and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Mumbai.
Note that India, the world's fastest-growing major economy after China, intends to double spending on roads, airports, ports, bridges and power over the five years starting in 2012 to $1 trillion, with half of that coming from the private sector.
