They are of the opinion that the data being asked from the investors need to be done away with as most of the data being asked is of no use. Sebi wants to keep the form to 2-3 pages where particulars need to be filled in by investors. SEBI expects simplified and shortened IPO forms will help in winning over small investors to public offers through a simple investment process, and also counter the lukewarm and ever-falling retail response to the primary market.The balance pages namely instructions, information about the company and the IPO and details about bankers, registrars and bidding centres may be done away with in shortened form.
